I guess everyone knew about the mega-earthquake that occurred in SiChuan.
A real tragedy to the all the victims and their families,
And there is this particular heart-wrenching story that make me so fucking touched.

Beijing Youth Daily - May 17, 2008.

Under the rubbles, she was found dead - buried by the collapsed building.
Rescuers depicted her gesture in the rubbles:
kneeling down on the floor in a creeping gesture, and supporting her body with her two arms.
She was pronounced dead, after rescuers testing her life signs using their hands through the narrow seams in the rubbles.
Suddenly, the head of the rescue team shouted loudly to coworkers,
"hurry up here!"
It seemed that he had seen something, as he was groping under the corpse.
"Someone is there, a baby, still alive", he shouted excitedly.
People cleaned up the rubbles around the woman,
and found her baby wrapped in a small red quilt with yellow flower patterns,
A baby boy perhaps only 3-4 month old.
Shielded by his mother's body, he survived the quake intact.
He was sleeping quietly, when rescuers found him.

His sleeping face made everyone on the scene very warm.
The doctor with the team opened the blanket to do an examination and
found a mobile phone the baby's wrap,
and a line of words on the screen:
" my dear baby, if you can survive this, please remember that i love you"

tears immediately coursed down the doctor and rescuers' cheeks,
when they saw the message, even though they have already seen too
many dead in the quake.

Omfg, that mother is so weida can ~
Using her own flesh to protect her own child.
